Making complex information accessible: interactive quiz about the TBS system
For a government organization, Ambasco designed an interactive PowerPoint that explains the TBS system in an accessible way. In the form of a quiz with feedback and explanation for each question, a complex topic was converted into a clear learning experience.
Making difficult subject matter understandable with smart design
The TBS system is one of the most complex parts of Dutch criminal law. For many people, it raises questions: when will TBS be imposed? How long does it take? And what is the difference between punishment and treatment?
In order to convey this information in an understandable and accessible way, Ambasco was asked to provide a interactive PowerPoint presentation to design that not only informs but also activates. The format: a quiz where each question is followed by a short, visually supported explanation.
Educational quiz with instant feedback
The interactive PowerPoint is built around multiple choice questions that guide step by step through the functioning of the TBS system. After each question answered, the user gets feedback — not only whether the answer is correct, but also why that's true.
This creates a learning effect at every level, whether you are legally trained or not. The quiz includes questions about:
- The conditions for imposing TBS
- The difference between TBS with and without forced nursing
- The role of the judge and the NIFP
- Treatment duration and extension
- Reintegration and outflow
The tone is neutral, factual and clear — tailored to a wide audience
Smart navigation and clear visual structure
Although built in PowerPoint, the presentation feels like a mini application. Thanks to a clear menu structure, intuitive buttons and consistent visual style users can easily navigate between questions, explanations and choices. The entire presentation was designed by Ambasco in a custom corporate identity, appropriate to the organization.
Offline use has also been taken into account: the quiz works completely without an internet connection and can be securely shared locally or presented in classrooms or educational sessions.
Design as a didactic tool
At Ambasco, we believe that design is more than making it beautiful. In this project, design was fully at the service of the learning process. Every graphic element — from the use of color and typography to icons and structure — focuses on clarity, concentration and repetition. This way, the content sticks better.

From PowerPoint to a professional learning tool
Although PowerPoint is often seen as a simple presentation tool, this project proves otherwise. By making creative use of slides, hyperlinks and animations, it became a fully-fledged interactive learning tool. And above all: an accessible way to make complex legal information understandable to a wide audience.
